TELEMEDICINE POLICYâ€Ŋ

Patients who contact the hospital through any communication channels, whether it is prior to their arrival at Ratchaphruek Hospital or following their discharge, are kindly requested to provide consent. Ratchaphruek Hospital respectfully requires patients to sign the Informed Consent for Telehealth Services (FM-MSO-076) form prior to receiving any telehealth services.

Scope of Service :

Individuals who are interested and contact the healthcare service through telehealth platforms, such as Zoom, are approved  for communication and obtaining basic information. This applies to both Thai and foreign patients who have previously received medical care at Ratchaphruek Hospital, for either elective and disease-related cases. The telehealth platforms are also used for preliminary symptom monitoring prior to follow-up appointments. Only qualified physicians are allowed to use telemedicine for treating patients, and they must adhere to the defined scope of practice set by the hospital and comply with relevant laws and regulations applicable to the healthcare provider.

Remote medical services must be provided based on the principle of maximizing benefits for the healthcare recipients. Individuals who exceed the defined risk threshold must undergo a screening process to determine their eligibility for receiving telemedicine services. All information and news generated during communication and storage are considered personal data of the patients that must be kept confidential. Access to this information is restricted to authorized individuals, and it must be stored securely within the specified timeframe. When accessing the data again, it should remain complete, accurate, and accessible. Remote medical services can only be provided while the physician is located within the hospital’s examination room.
